President elect Donald Trump is continuing his chaotic approach to U.S. car manufactures, and the world at large. Today he turned his attention to the Japanese car maker Toyota threatening the company with selective tariff.

President-elect Donald Trump tweeted his displeasure at carmaker Toyota on Thursday, threatening to impose taxes on the Japanese company if it produced its Corolla model in Mexico.

“Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for US. NO WAY!” the president-elect tweeted. “Build plant in US or pay big border tax.”

The $1 billion plant, meant to expand production of Toyota’s Corolla line, was announced in April 2015 and is expected to open in 2019.

Donald Trump seems to be enjoying this public battle (Twitter baddle ) with manufacturing companies who are weary of leaving a negative impression on their U.S. Customers. Donald Trump instead of announcing broad policy regarding manufacturing outsourcing and selling back the product across the border, chose to fling insults and threats to private company for just conducting their business in accordance with the current law.

Is it possible Donald Trump is using this selective condemnation of companies outsourcing jobs, because he is as guilt as they are. After all Donald Trump makes all of his merchandise that he sells outside of this country, and any legislation addressing this will impact his own big bottom line.

What do you think?
