Old Dutch brand Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips recalled in 5 Canadian provinces due to salmonella contamination

Ottawa, ON, Canada (4E) – Old Dutch Foods Ltd has issued a recall of Old Dutch brand Cheddar and Sour Cream Potato Chips due to Salmonella contamination.

The recalled products were sold in Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Northern Ontario.

Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis.

Old Dutch Foods Ltd is advising consumers to dispose or return the products to the store they were purchased.
