Montreal, QC, Canada (4E) – Ok Kids is recalling Babaluno brand Happy Bunny and Friends Sleepers due to flammability hazard

The firm says Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear , and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body.

Moreover, Health Canada’s sampling and evaluation program has determined that these products do not meet the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear under Canadian law.

This recall involves the BETSY-3 model of Babaluno brand sleepers marketed as Happy Bunny and Friends.

The sleepers are pink with a bunny logo on the front, and made from 75% Cotton and 25% Polyester by OK Kids. The model “BETSY-3” appears on the tag.

OK Kids has received no reports of incidents or injuries associated with the use of this sleepwear .

About 353 units of the recalled products were sold in Canada at various stores within Quebec and New Brunswick from Aug. 2015 to Dec. 2016.

Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled sleepers and return them to any OK Kids outlet of their choice for a credit.

For more information, you may reach OK Kids at their head office, at 514-332-5437.
