John Deere Issues Recall for about 50 Tractor Backhoe Attachments over crushing Hazard

Moline, IL, United States (4E) – John Deere is recalling about 50 tractor backhoe attachments today due to crushing hazard resulting from loosening mounting hardware which would make the backhoe frame to rotate toward the operator.
There are no reports of incidents or injuries in connection with the recalled product, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC ) said.
The recall involves model 485A backhoe attachments for John Deere compact utility tractors 4044M , 4044R , 4049M , 4049R , 4052M , 4052R , 4066M and 4066R . These utility tractors have serial numbers which start with 1LV0485ACG0030 +++ and are located on the rear of the backhoe mainframe.
Manufactured by Deere & Company, the recalled product was sold for about $10, 700 at John Deere dealers nationwide from May 2016 through June 2016.
The firm says it is directly contacting all registered owners.
Consumers are urged to stop using the recalled backhoe attachments and contact a John Deere dealer for a free repair, the CPSC said.
