Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (4E Sports) – A court has prevented two US swimmers from departing Brazil until they provide details of an alleged robbery that occurred Sunday.

Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were about to leave for the United States when authorities stopped them from boarding their flight.

A judge earlier ordered the passports of their two other teammates — Ryan Lochte and Jimmy Feigen — until they clarified how they were allegedly robbed.

However, Lochte has already returned to the United States while Feigen remained in Brazil to shed light on the incident.

According to the four, they were robbed at gunpoint in a taxi as they returned to the athletes’ village from a party.

However, police doubt their claim because of the inconsistencies in their respective statements.

“Jack Conger and Gunnar Bentz were detained Wednesday night shortly before their flight was scheduled to depart from Rio,” U.S. Olympic Committee spokesman Patrick Sandusky said in a statement.

“They were released by local authorities with the understanding that they would continue their discussions about the incident on Thursday,” he added.
