Orange County, CA, United States (4E) – A former USC and Los Angeles Raiders quarterback, Torr Marinovich , was arrested and in possession of marijuana while he was naked at a backyard of a stranger.
Accordingly, he might also have methamphetamine in possession when found by officials in Southern California. Irvine Police Cmdr . Mike Hallinan said in a statement that Marinovich was arrested on Friday evening after they received a call about a naked man on a hiking trail that was near residencies. The officers then found him in a backyard and was holding a brown bag that contained marijuana and possibly methamphetamine. The second substance is yet to be confirmed as officials are waiting for laboratory results.
Marinovich has been booked on suspicion of trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana. He is being held in the Orange County jail.
Marinovich was a standout college football quarterback but he lasted only two seasons in the NFL due to his drug abuse issues.
This is not the first time that the 47-year-old has had run-ins with the law regarding drugs. During the late 1990s , Marinovich pleaded guilty to growing marijuana and illegally possessing prescription meds. In 2005 and in 2007, he was arrested for drug possession.
He underwent rehabilitation stints. He even became a talented mural artist with his own online gallery. He also sold paintings and sculptures. Marinovich also worked as a drug counselor. It was unclear what happened that landed him in his latest arrest.
