Donald Trump utilizes campaign staff shake-up as election draws closer

MIlwaukee, WI, United States (NewsBahn) – Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump has shaken up his campaign staff in an effort to firm up his bid to become the nation’s next commander-in-chief.

Breitbart News’ executive chairman Stephen Bannon has been named campaign CEO and pollster Kellyanne Conway was tabbed as campaign manager.

Trump will retain Paul Manafort , who was in the latter role, will remain campaign chair despite recent reports that he’s been tied to Russian officials in their election bids.

Trump insisted his campaign style won’t change, however, no matter who holds what title.

“You know, I am who I am,” he told a local Wisconsin television station Tuesday. “It’s me. I don’t want to change. Everyone talks about, ‘Oh, well you’re going to pivot, you’re going to.’ I don’t want to pivot. I mean, you have to be you. If you start pivoting, you’re not being honest with people.”

Several national and local polls show Trump trailing Hillary Clinton nationally and in key battleground states.

There are 82 days left before the election is held on November 8.
