Did this python eat a drunk man? Did he eat four drunk men? The above image has been floating around social media sites for the last few days and some people claim that it shows a man-eating python.
But those people are wrong.

According to the website HoaxSlayer.com, the photo has been circulating around the internet since 2012. The image has been accompanied by several different stories. Some say that the python went on a man-eating rampage, swallowing four people before it was finally killed. Others claim that it ate a drunk man who was passed out near a liquor story while others say that it was a woman.
None of those stories are true.
HoaxSlayer writes: “None of these variants to the story have been confirmed by any credible news reports. While large snakes such as rock pythons have killed humans, confirmed and documented cases of such snakes actually swallowing adult humans are very rare.”
So what was the python’s last meal? Pythons have been known to take down some pretty big animals and there have been documented cases of a python eating a person. (The Express reports that a python swallowed a 10-year-old boy in 2002.) Unfortunately, no one seems to know what this python had to eat before it was caught.
